Why Hearthly

Built for couples, not just individuals

Planning ahead together is different from doing it alone. Hearthly's approach is designed around that reality.

Designed for Couples

Every session and tool is shaped for two people making decisions together — not solo planners working in isolation.

Milestone-Focused

Rather than abstract theory, we help you map real milestones — from building a shared fund to preparing for a new addition to your home.

Warm, Judgment-Free

Money conversations can feel tense. Our sessions are calm, open spaces where couples talk honestly about where they are and where they want to go.

Malaysian Context

Our content reflects the realities of family life in Malaysia — EPF, education costs, cultural considerations, and local market conditions.

Practical, Not Just Educational

You leave with templates, worksheets, and a shared plan — not just new ideas. The tools are ready to use the same week you attend.

Community Connections

Join a community of couples at similar life stages. Share questions, compare approaches, and find encouragement from people who understand your situation.

Common Questions

Things couples usually ask us

Do we both need to attend together?
Yes — Hearthly sessions are built for couples attending together. The conversation prompts, templates, and exercises are designed around two people making shared decisions. That said, if one partner has questions before committing, feel free to reach out to us first.
What if we are just at the thinking-about-it stage?
That is exactly the right time to start. Many couples find that having an early, relaxed conversation about money habits saves a lot of tension later. Our Planning-Ahead Session is especially suited for couples who are still mapping out what they want the next few years to look like.
Is this financial advice?
No. Hearthly provides general money education and planning tools — we share publicly available information, frameworks, and templates to help couples think through their habits and milestones. We are not licensed financial advisers and we do not give regulated financial advice. For specific investment or legal matters, we encourage you to consult a qualified professional.
How long does each programme take?
The Planning-Ahead Session runs for approximately 2–3 hours. The Family-Planning Toolkit is self-paced, with community access ongoing after purchase. The Growing-Family Programme spans several group sessions spread across a few weeks — exact scheduling is confirmed on enrolment.
Are sessions in English or Bahasa Malaysia?
Our primary language is English, and all written materials are in English. During sessions, facilitators are comfortable mixing in Bahasa Malaysia and Manglish where it helps the conversation flow naturally — just like most Penangites would.
Where are the sessions held?
Our in-person sessions take place at our George Town, Penang office. The Growing-Family Programme includes both in-person group sessions and online access. The Family-Planning Toolkit is fully digital and accessible from anywhere in Malaysia.
What is included in the certificate of attendance?
Couples who complete the Growing-Family Programme receive a jointly issued certificate of attendance confirming participation in the programme. It is a meaningful keepsake — and a reminder of the commitment you made to each other's shared planning.
