Hearthly team and mission

Our Company

We help couples build a home they can afford to grow into

Hearthly exists to make money conversations easier — and family planning more thoughtful — for couples across Malaysia.

Our Story

Started with a conversation at a kitchen table

Hearthly grew out of a simple observation: couples preparing to start or grow their families often know they should be thinking about money together — but most of the resources available to them are either aimed at individual investors or written in language that feels cold and distant.

We started in George Town, Penang, working with a small group of newly engaged and expecting couples who wanted a calm, structured way to get on the same page about day-to-day financial habits. What we noticed is that the conversations were rarely about numbers — they were about values, timelines, and what kind of life people were trying to build.

That insight shaped everything at Hearthly. We are not here to tell couples what to do with their money. We are here to give them the tools and the space to figure out together what their next chapter should look like — and the habits to make it work.

Today, Hearthly serves couples across Malaysia from our George Town base, with programmes designed for different stages of family planning — from couples who are just starting to think ahead, to those preparing for a new addition, to those who want a structured multi-session learning journey as a couple.

Our Vision

How We Work

Our standards and approach

These commitments guide how we design every session, template, and community touchpoint at Hearthly.

Education, Not Advice

All Hearthly content is general information and publicly available knowledge. We do not provide regulated financial, legal, or investment advice of any kind.

Privacy & Confidentiality

What is shared in sessions stays within the session. We operate under a clear privacy policy and do not share participant information with third parties.

Couples-First Design

Every programme element is reviewed with couples' dynamics in mind. Sessions are structured to encourage honest dialogue between both partners — not just one.

Curriculum Quality

Our materials are reviewed regularly to stay aligned with current Malaysian financial realities, EPF regulations, and the everyday cost-of-living landscape in Penang and beyond.

Community Standards

Our couples' community is moderated to maintain a respectful, supportive atmosphere. Commercial promotion, unsolicited advice, and off-topic content are not permitted.

Transparent Credentials

We are upfront about what Hearthly is and is not. Our team backgrounds are shared openly, and we are clear about the scope and limits of our programmes.

A calm space for honest money conversations

Money conversations between couples are often delayed until a moment of pressure — an unexpected expense, a disagreement about priorities, or a sudden change in circumstances. Hearthly was designed to move those conversations earlier, when couples have the space to think clearly and the room to explore what they actually want.

Our programmes are rooted in practical habit-building rather than theoretical frameworks. Couples leave sessions with shared tools — budget templates, milestone planners, conversation guides — that reflect their own situation and priorities, not a one-size-fits-all template.

We are based in George Town, Penang, and we understand the specific financial landscape that Malaysian couples navigate: managing EPF contributions, planning around school fees, understanding the realities of property ownership in the current market, and balancing extended family expectations. Our content addresses these realities directly, in plain English, without jargon or assumptions about prior financial knowledge.

Whether couples join a single Planning-Ahead Session or commit to our full Growing-Family Programme, the Hearthly experience is designed to leave them more aligned — and more prepared — than when they arrived.
